If dry camping is your main goal, you might want to consider investing in large solar panels.
I may be off, but it seems our coaches are designed for occasional overnight stays without shore power. Most of the time, we’re dealing with energy-intensive systems that provide all our comforts.
In our coach, we have internal inverter fans, and we also use an external fan to help with cooling. We leave the external fan on continuously while we’re either charging our batteries through shore or generator power or using our inverters for appliances like TVs or the refrigerator.
Battery power plays a bigger role in how long you can use your systems than whether you turn off an inverter or fan. Conserving battery power at the expense of comfort might be like coasting downhill in a luxury car to save fuel. Instead, consider adding more batteries.
You can also run your generator or plug into a 50-amp service to keep everything running smoothly.
