    Hello VirginiaCamper and congratulations!

I’d add to or reiterate: get a good, simple multimeter that measures DC voltage up to at least 24 VDC, 120 VAC, and ohms. Every meter will have these features and more, but one with fewer options is usually sufficient for basic functions (think of an inexpensive calculator vs. an expensive one). Get familiar with it, or have someone show you how to use it.

Also, pick up a set of good test leads (single wires with alligator clips on both ends) and a 24-volt test light, which any automotive store will have. These will be very helpful if you’re troubleshooting with a tech over the phone.

I’d also suggest carrying a handful of relays (Prevost can supply the correct assortment), some fuses to match what CC uses, some hose clamps, and a good tire pressure gauge and tire chuck. These simple items can prevent a breakdown, and of course, if you have them, you’ll probably never need them.

Lastly, use the coach purchase as an excuse to buy every tool you can and pack them into your box. Then, ask your wife if there’s any tool room left in the closet (just a joke!).

Otherwise, as others have said, a good assortment of mechanic’s tools is essential.

Best of luck and safe travels,
