Does anyone know where I can find replacement lenses and bulbs (24 volt, 10 amp tube type) for the bay lights? Prevost mentioned they no longer carry this style of lens, although they do have the bulbs available. This is for a 1996 chassis.

      Jim,

I’m not sure how well-lit your bays are or how effectively the lights are positioned, but I’m considering upgrading my bay lighting. I find that some lights get blocked by the items I store in the bay, while others are obstructed by the converter. If you’re looking for light fixtures or lenses, I’d recommend starting fresh and replacing everything. It might also be worth relocating the fixtures to better positions for optimal lighting.

      Jim,

Jon is spot on about the bay lights—they really don’t do the job well. I installed some lights in my closet that provide a lot of illumination for low wattage and are only 1.25″ in profile. The main consideration will be whether they’re available in 24V.

They’re not cheap, though; they run about $40 each.

Try this link this is what I used in our generator bay rebuild. A HUGE improvement.

They can be powered with from 11 to 25 volts.

Jim, The way the bulb burnt the lense I would suggest looking for someting that doesn’t put out so much heat.
