Jon here is a question for you. Talked to Randy at Zip Dee this morning about the NX upgrade kit. I installed the NX awing upgrade on my 97 XL coach in 1997 no problem. George has a 98 XL bus and Randy says the body changed in 98, He said the curve at the side at the top is different? Is that true?

I’m inclined to believe that there’s no difference in curvature between the 1997 and 1998 models. If a change were to occur, it would likely be between the XL and XLII models.

Here’s why I think so: The chassis is assembled using an intricate welding fixture that’s tailored to specific dimensions. Altering the roof-to-side curvature would require a modification to that fixture, which seems improbable given that a complete chassis redesign was on the horizon, necessitating a new fixture for the updated design.

Perhaps there’s some confusion around the timing of the change, possibly mixing up the riveted buses with the bonded skin models?
