Many people, whether dog owners or not, often think about renovations. I recently completed a project in Lucia and Alek’s bus with H345 Royal Pergo flooring. I spent a few nights working there, and they were wonderful hostsLucia provided endless food, while Alek had all the tools I needed. This is the third bus Ive upgraded with the owners involved, which I prefer for their satisfaction. Aleks carpentry skills taught me a lot, and we efficiently rearranged the furniture without removing anything. One couch was converted into a bed and slid into the hallway, opening up the cockpit and front room. It was a mess for a few days, but it all came together nicely. The bedroom received the same flooring, and Lucia added a polished touch with some sewn welting. Thanks to Lew for the tips! If youre considering a similar project, budget for extra flooring and expect it to take about three times longer than planned.

Deb and I have discussed getting wood flooring, but we need to make a few major interior changes first. I plan to install a new ceiling in our bus someday, and Alek will be there to help. I figured it wouldnt be nice to share those pictures, as things often get messy before they improve. We also decided to sign our work!

Fantastic job. It is very clear how much attention to detail was given. I hope to see it someday.

      Joe,

The floor looks great. Do you make roadcalls to Texas?

Looks fantastic, Joe! You do great work. If we need any updates on the bus, well definitely plan something for January. Bonnie

Hey, are you two taking all the credit? I bet Lucia had to keep a close watch on you both! The work looks professional and truly enhances the coach. I had pros install granite flooring in my first coach, and hairline cracks showed up before long. While granite can be nice, make sure to consult your converter about underlayment and thickness before going that route. The wood that Alek and Joe used is a safer, lighter option.
