From time to time we see posts about the cost of repair parts, or worse, the lack of availability of certain parts.

An alternative is to consider used parts. Keep in mind used parts are not always going to be perfect, but as an alternative you have the potential to save some serious money.

If you cruise through the site listed above, you will quickly see that parts common to our coaches are available, ranging from complete engines, generators, AquaHot units, wheels, inverters, etc.

If you ding a bay door or a rub rail you might find what you need here, or maybe you lost a hub cap. Can’t get hardware for a window? Or maybe you just want some spares.

I was quoted prevost parts new prices for their used parts..  You buy it you own it!  only way I would do business with them is being there with hands on part and making sure part is correct and is priced as used.  Buyer beware.   My  personal experience.   Robert Glines  (bob)   Found then rude and not forth comming on their customer service.   Do what you want..

Good feedback Bob. If we get any more negative feedback I will pull the link so we are not steering people to a bad source.

Point being if you do a deal.  Make if as full proof and educated as you can.  I paid $100 a piece for 6 ea 1998 XLE bay doors in Michigan (perfect) and $50 fo 1 with a dent in it.  Polished.  Ck out $500each.   Also paid $100 for used front bumper (no scratches) with end pieces –no scratches..  There is at least 3 big salvage yards around includung B&B in Vegas who is overloaded with Prevost now.   I know V is in you back yard. It’s been about 3 years since I have shopped them.   Maybe things have changed? I know the economy has….I know I am more thrifty with my dollar valve than 90 plus percent of other bus owners here—I really don’t like to see anyone taken advantage of because they own a Prevost..   I will go take my chill pill now!!!          bob

What happened to that 1998 Royale?   Did someone leave it unattended in the wrong part of Detroit?  Doesn’t look like a fire … Looks like is was severely vandalized.

Only one dealing with guy If I ever have another which I won’t I would carry a set of the old fashion ice tongs he is slippery, then others have had good luck so they say

I bought a section bay, roof and floor all1 piece the way he removed it took us 3 weeks of repair before we could use it. They blamed it on the trucking like most do but it was not the case the trucker was a pro and knew what he was doing

had them do wheel bearing and brake work on my tent trailer while I was in the area in December, 2012. They did great work and I felt comfortable with that. I browsed through their parts and noticed they were expensive but I did not need anything at the time.

They told me they did work on Prevost but their labor rate is about the same so I would go to Prevost since they work on our coaches all the time and “should” be better trained. The folks I dealt with were nice and knowledgeable in person but that visit is my only interaction.
