At the Tampa rally  I gave someone some of my SmarTire pressure monitoring parts.

I don’t remember who it was but if you will contact me I will send you the rest of the parts I have.

Display module and main brain box that the antennas go to and provides info for the display.

If anyone is interested, I now use the Pressure Pro system I got from Tom. Like it much better.

Bigger display, sensors are external so no demounting of tires to get to sensors and can program without a $300 programmer.

( All that was a plug for Tom)

Charles, I was the target of your much appreciated generosity. I’m in central Indiana having Corian countertops made, but I don’t think I’ll be here long enough to receive a package. I’ll email you as soon as I pause in my travels. Thank you again for passing on parts to a system I intend to keep operational as long as possible. I really enjoy having all 14 tires displayed on my Silverleaf monitor. Your timing was perfect in that the first trouble I’ve had with the system occurred when I hooked up to my trailer in Tampa and none of the six tires reported in. Obviously, six batteries don’t fail simultaneously, so I was surprised that only two checked in when I cleaned the antenna connection at the hitch. Cleaning the center axle antenna produced mixed results as well, so I’m still scratching my head. I’ve had as many as five check in as I take off, but they usually all go away within half an hour. That would indicate it must be battery problems, but it’s strange that they were all working perfectly before I stopped in Tampa. This has cost me already in that I lost a tread off a trailer tire on my trip north. I’m guessing the tire temperature was above 140 degrees, the point below which I’ve never had a tire problem. My next approach is to start disassembling the sealed sending units and building replacement battery packs, but I’m open to suggestions. Okay Tom, I’ll ask… Does Silverleaf display Pressure-Pro?

Silver Leaf use to interface with pressure to display info but I think they quit doing that.

Give Martin a call at SilverLeaf and see what he has to say.

Email me when your ready for me to send what I have.

I was on a site the other night that still listed the orange sensors on their site. Did not call  to confirm they actually had them but check with independant tire dealers by Googleing SmarTire and see what you get.

Charles, thanks for the information. With a software update, my Silverleaf monitor will display Pressure Pro data. The SmarTire sending units are indeed still available, but the Silverleaf guys feel it’s more likely my problem is antenna related. I’ll continue testing both antennas and batteries. I sent you an address in an email.
